Hi Guys!!!

A few months ago I got one of the best suprises I've ever had, I recieved a GHD V Sunset proffessional styler from the bird of paradise collection in the mail after winning a random competition that I had entered a while ago and had completely forgotten about. My mum and dad had tricked me by accusing me that I had bought something online without asking and were acting angry (though I was confused not only because I hadnt but also because my dad is not the best liar and was a little too happy hahaha) So after their joke and a few minutes of me thinking I was in trouble for something I didn't do, they handed me the pretty pink packaging with the letter saying what I had won and as you could imagine I was definitely surprised and so excited that I was basically hopping around happily. I had wanted a GHD for YEARRSS and it had been on my Christmas list so many times. I had been looking for a good affordable straightener that I could curl with after having my ombre redone as only had a fat straightener that I couldn't curl with and a curler with different detachable tongs that takes sooo long to heat up and curl. So it was perfect timing since I had almost bought one the previous week and was planning to buy one on that weekend.

 If you're a fan of GHD'S than I have no doubt that you will fall in love with this limited edition straightener (also available in Lagoon, a beautiful green and blue), I know I did!!!

They're absolutely BEAUTIFUL right?! Mine is the one on the left which is a gorgeous and sumptuous deep graduated colour of purple and pink.

They both look so exotic and desireably tropical.

It came in the prettiest box and came with a roll up heat proof mat that also doubles as a case when travelling in the same beautiful colours. Having never owned a GHD I cannot compare them to any older versions however... I can tell you that this will be my baby for yeaaarrrss to come!!

They claim to have advanced ceramic heat technology that enhances shine, whilst the smooth plates glide through the hair with ease and allows for versatile styling. The new, rounder barrel is also supposed to make it much easier to curl the hair as well as straighten it. They also feature an automatic sleep mode that turns it off after 30 minutes of not using. The professional-length cord is wonderful and the swivel feature means that you can easily reach the back of your head and the cord will not tangle around your hand while you're turning it to curl. They also come with a universal voltage, meaning that you can use the styler anywhere in the world! I can easily curl my hair in about twenty minutes- a record time in comparison to my other curler which after an impatient hour battle leaves me burnt, rushing out of the house with still some straight sections in the back and kinks at the bottom. Not only is it quicker, especially after it only takes approximately 30 sec to heat up unlike ten minutes like my curler, it also holds the curl for a lot longer. I can curl my hair on a school morning and it will only drop a little, leaving it still fairly curly by the end of the day and after sleeping on it will still have a loose curl/wave in the morning. This is the the best thing about it for me since my hair is fairly fine, straight, and doesnt hold curl well with any other tool that I have used which generally only keeps the curl for about an hour.
